Adele, 33, sent out a touching message to the England team on Sunday night, after they suffered a devastating loss against Italy in the Euro 2020 final. As the rival team bagged one more penalty, the singer had a few kind words to our players who “did us so proud” throughout the tournament.

You brought our game home and brought us all together

Taking to Instagram, she posed smiling while wearing a red Three Lions shirt.

“You did us so proud!” she penned alongside the snap.

“You brought our game home and brought us all together.”

She paired the bright shirt with patriotic nails featuring the St George’s flag.

But as with many sporting events, the comments section was divided between fans from all over the world who had tuned in to watch the Euros.

Last week, the singer was among millions celebrating England’s win against Denmark.

After a penalty was given to England, Harry Kane managed to score the winning goal in extra time, securing their spot in the final.

And it sent fans through the roof and as she filmed the TV, what came next was a blur.

Her followers were subjected to crazy movement as she ran around the room in excitement.

“IT’S B***DY COMING HOME,” she captioned the footage with a series of England flags.
