Amal Clooney nearly takes a tumble on an uneven cobblestone street in New York City… four years after her sister Tala’s Big Apple spill

Amal Clooney nearly took a spill similar to her sister Tala on a cobblestone street in New York City on Wednesday night.

While Clooney, 41, didn’t actually take a spill like Tala, 47, in New York City back in May 2015, but she seemingly came close.

Both Amal’s near-fall and Tala’s spill took place on similar cobblestone streets in the Big Apple, more than four years apart.

Clooney was wearing a full red dress that fell to below her knees with grey stiletto pumps as she hit the cobblestone street.

She was carrying a large brown bag while she slipped on her heel as it popped out on the street.

Clooney didn’t actually fall, though her sister Tala did tumble to her knees in her cobblestone fall four years ago.

Amal wasn’t seen with her husband George Clooney, with the couple celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary in April.

Amal and Clooney met through a mutual friend in June 2013, and they were engaged in April 2014.

The couple obtained marriage licenses in August 2014 in London and married in a high-profile ceremony in Venice, Italy in September 2014.

Clooney is a lawyer who specializes in international law and human rights, who has previously represented WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

Earlier this year, Clooney was instrumental in securing the release of Reuters journalists Wa Lone and Ky Soe Oo from Myanmar in May.

She was also named the special envoy on media freedom by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Clooney’s sister Tala made headlines earlier this month, when she was arrested for drunk driving in Singapore.

She pleaded guilty on Monday to drunk-driving and using a car without a Singapore Class 3 driving licence and driving without insurance.

Tala, who is a permanent resident of Singapore, has been ordered to pay a fine of S$6,400 (£3,640) and will be disqualified from driving for four years after her release from prison.
