Back in August, we reported that Billy Joel spotted a fan at one of his endless string of Madison Square Garden shows holding a sign saying, “This is my 100th show” — and promised the superfan free tickets for their 101st show.
Now we’re told the Piano Man made good on the promise. “They gave us four tickets and backstage passes,” Dr. Geoff Epstein told Page Six. “It was very generous … I’ve been a fan for over 40 years.”
Epstein, who says he’s “realistically spent between $25,000 and $50,000” on Joel’s residency, says he’s not done yet. “My wife thinks I’m done, but I equate going to the Garden … to a Knicks game, except when you go to a Knicks game, they may lose. At Billy, I always leave happy because my team always wins,” he said.
As for the unfortunate coincidence of sharing a name with deceased Jeff Epstein? “It’s out of my control.”
