Bruce Springsteen To Release Concert Film Soundtrack

Bruce Springsteen‘s new concert film Western Stars is set for a wide theatrical release on October 25. Springsteen has announced that the film’s companion soundtrack album will also drop on the same day.

Western Stars — Songs from the Film will feature Springsteen’s performances of all 13 songs from his latest studio album, also called Western Stars. The album will also feature a cover of Glen Campbell‘s chart-topping 1975 hit “Rhinestone Cowboy.”

Western Stars is directed by Springsteen and Thom Zimny. Recently, Zimny won an Emmy for Springsteen on Broadway, but Springsteen didn’t win an Emmy, which would have helped him achieve the EGOT status.

The Western Stars film features footage of the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer performing his 2019 album in front of a small audience in a 100-year-old barn at his Stone Hill Farm in Colts Neck, New Jersey.
