Corey Taylor’s Guitar Auction Raises $150,000 For Coronavirus Relief

Corey Taylor raised $75,000 for COVID-19 relief efforts by auctioning off 13 guitars from his personal collection. Each guitar comes with a case and certificate of authenticity.

Nearly 800 bidders took part in the two week-long auction. eBay For Charity donated a matching $75,000 for the cause.

The proceeds will go to Direct Relief, a non-profit organization delivering personal protective equipment and other essential items to healthcare workers fighting COVID-19.

The Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman said he is hopeful for the future of live music in a post-coronavirus world.

“Probably within a year, maybe a year and a half, we’ll see the same enthusiasm for live shows that we did before,” Taylor said.
