Denise Welch has paid tribute to her late father Vin as she returned to ITV's Loose Women on Monday 15 November.
The 63 year old was left grief-stricken when her dad passed away on 28 September as she informed her 285,000 Instagram followers at the time: "Last night at 11pm, we lost our dad, the life force that was Vin Welch. After making a miraculous recovery recently from major surgeries, pneumonia plus his existing pulmonary fibrosis was more than even he could take."
Now, the TV presenter has joined the panellists live on air to speak out about the heartbreaking moment she lost her dad.
"I didn't feel ready to come back until now and the show was very respectful of that," she started while choking back tears.
Denise continued: "It's weird because the last time I was here, I was asking you all to celebrate with me because dad after a long illness this year, the first time he had been poorly really ever in his life, and you know I spent a lot of this year in hospital when I was able to with him.
"And he'd made such a valiant recovery and we sort of loved him back to health we felt. Then he got what started as a temperature.
"He had paracetamol and it went down and we thought you know you don't get overly panicky about something like that."
Vin had to be taken back to the hospital shortly after as Denise continued: "Unfortunately he had to go to hospital. He was furious that he had to go back.
"We kept saying, 'Dad you've got to, it's only for a few days'. Unfortunately it wasn't just two or three days.

"He had pulmonary fibrosis, which he had lived with and hadn't really caused him that much of a problem but the pneumonia on top, he just couldn't eat."
Denise, who was recently dealt a fresh blow as her "stalker" forced a delay in the case, went on to explain how lonely and scared her dad felt as the hospital didn't allow visitors in.
"Then when we knew he wasn't going to make it, the staff on his ward were incredible in letting us as a family… We were all with him when he went. Dad didn't know he was going…" she continued.
Denise broke into tears as she continued to share how the palliative asked if her dad was compos mentis enough to understand what was happening.
"With the lack of oxygen, his mental capacity had declined and he was sort of in and out of lucidity," she continued as he explained he knew the family was there.
Denise said her sister Debbie and herself have been a great strength for each other.
