EastEnders star Louisa Lytton has been on cloud nine since welcoming her newborn baby Aura into the world – and it's clear her soap co-stars are equally as delighted by the new arrival!
Louisa, who introduced Aura to the world this week in an exclusive shoot and interview with OK, said her colleagues over at Albert Square have been in touch with messages of congratulations. And Gillian Wright, who plays Jean Slater, gifted Aura with a particularly special present.
Louisa, 32, revealed: "Gillian Wright made Aura the most amazing blanket that she handmade with her name on. That was so kind!"
The actress also said some of her closest friends on set are desperate to meet her little bundle of joy.
"Lacey [Turner], James [Bye] and Nat [Cassidy] have all be in touch," Lou explained. "They’re excited to come and meet her at some point."
Louisa gave birth to Aura, her first child with fiancé Ben Bhanvra on 30 August at 11.09am at Barnet Hospital. The new arrival weighed 6lbs 5oz, following a gruelling three day labour that resulted in a C-section.
Louisa, who plays Ruby Allen in the BBC soap, called her baby's arrival the “best moment of my entire life”.
“The emotion when we finally got to that point was like nothing else,” added Ben, 30, who works in digital marketing.
But the birth was not without drama. Louisa explained: "I was in labour for three days and I ended up having an emergency C-section. The birth wasn’t what I planned."
However, loved up Lou has no regrets about anything. She insisted: "Aura was fine and that’s all that mattered."
Louisa is the latest Walford star to give birth, following the birth of Kellie Bright's third son, Rudy Joy, who she introduced exclusively with OK! last week. Kellie, who plays Linda Carter, too had kind words to say about her soap co-stars.

"They’ve been really lovely," she gushed. "I have a WhatsApp group with my television family and I’ve sent pictures.
"I’ve spoken to Danny Dyer and Maddy Hill and had texts from Linda Henry and Letitia Dean, who I’m good friends with. I haven’t introduced Rudy to any of them yet – that will be starting very soon!"
