Eric Church broke the attendance record at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium by attracting 56,521 people to his headlining show on Saturday.
The country music singer-songwriter erased the previous record set by Taylor Swift in 2018.
During the first stadium headlining performance of his 15-year career, which lasted for three-and-a-half hours, Church played 37 songs.
“This night for me has been the most special thing of my entire career,” the Chief told the crowd. “We have passion for what we do.”
Ahead of his sold-out stadium show, part of the “Double Down” tour, members of the industry honored Church by presenting him a plaque to commemorate 30 million albums sold.
