And baby makes three for former “Bachelor” Arie Luyendyk Jr. and wife Lauren Burnham.
On Wednesday, the couple, who wed in Hawaii in January, welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Alessi.
“Alessi Ren Luyendyk. Born May 29, 2019 @ 2:09pm. 6lbs, 13 oz. 20 inches long. She is sweet, calm and @ariejr and I could not be more in love with her,” new mom Burnham, 27, shared Thursday on Instagram.
Proud dad Luyendyk, 37, also gushed alongside a photo of him holding the baby, “This was first time she laid eyes on me and I’m forever changed.”
Luyendyk and Burnham have come a long way since their initial meeting on Season 22 of “The Bachelor.” Luyendyk originally sent Burnham packing and proposed to fellow contestant Becca Kufrin, but had a change of heart after popping the question. Luyendyk infamously broke off his engagement to Kufrin on air, later rekindling his relationship with Burnham.
“The best decision was running back to you,” Luyendyk told Burnham last year on “The Bachelor” special “After the Final Rose.”
“You have showed me a love that is patient, a love that is kind. I should have done this a long time ago,” he said before proposing.
Luyendyk and Burnham announced that they were expecting last fall.
