Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan, 39, has told fans she got herself into hot water during production of the second episode of The Chase Celebrity Christmas Special. The Boxing Day show featured comedian Iain Stirling, Reverend Richard Coles, West End star Ruthie Henshall and newsreader Kate Silverton.

Quizzer Jenny teased the episode on Twitter before it was aired along with a photograph of the celebrities with host Bradley Walsh.

She told her 102,000 followers: “Here are our famous v̶i̶c̶t̶i̶m̶s̶ contestants for this evening’s Fancy Dress Christmas Special of The Chase!

“Tune in to find out what happened when I made a flippant joke which the producers took absolutely seriously.

“I regret everything.”

For the Christmas Special, the Chasers transformed into the Addams Family to celebrate the festivities.

They went all out with their costumes with Anne Hegerty as Morticia, Paul Sinha as patriarch Gomez, Shaun Wallace as Uncle Fester and Mark Labbett got into character as the family butler Lurch.

But it was Jenny who stole the show with her unrecognisable transformation into Cousin It.

Her whole face and body is covered in long, flowing hair, with Jenny only recognisable by her signature cat-eye glasses.

It comes after Jenny spoke candidly about her co-star Bradley Walsh after he revealed he will retire from TV in the next two years.

Bradley has hosted The Chase since 2009.

He told The Sun: “You know what, in a couple of years’ time I won’t have to do any of it, I’ll be retired and that’ll be it.

“It seems like I’m on your screen all the time only because I cram everything in a certain area of the year.

“We make 210 Chases, 16 Celebrity Chases, 16 Beat The Chasers. It’s only actually 86 days recording.

“So out of 365 days, you’d imagine I have loads of time off.

“But once you’ve got your bedrock of shows set in, that allows you then to go off and do other things.

“I don’t actually have time off, I have meetings, I have personal appearances I have to make and stuff like that with other things I’ve got going on, so it’s quite tricky to juggle it about.”

Addressing Bradley’s retirement plans, Jenny said during an appearance on Good Morning Britain: “It would not be the same show without Bradley, he’s a fabulous host and I really enjoy working with him.”

The ITV favourite revealed she had been a part of the test pilot for The Chase and admitted she knew it was going to be a success because Bradley was a part of the show.

Jenny explained: “I was involved in the test pilot, as soon as they said Brad was on-board, I knew it was going to be a hit.”

The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5.30pm.
