J.Lo Takes a Nod from Her “Jenny from the Block” Days in Low-Rise Pants

No matter where J.Lo goes, she knows where she came from.

Jennifer Lopez was photographed stepping out for a shopping trip in Beverly Hills yesterday wearing an ensemble that looked straight out of one of her early-aughts music video productions. Sporting a ribbed, ab-baring tank, Lopez paired the top with camel-hued, low-rise trousers and chunky white lace-up sneakers. And she didn’t shy away from the accessories, either, opting for oversized gold hoop earrings, multiple layered bangle bracelets, matching gold necklaces, a cross-body Coach bag, and tinted square-frame sunglasses.

Lopez has had nostalgia on the brain in recent weeks, especially since reuniting with her former fiancé, actor-director Ben Affleck, this year. In a new interview with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden, the “On the Floor” singer reminisced on her hit 2002 album, This Is Me… Then, and how her personal life now is beginning to parallel where she was at the time. Since April, Lopez and Affleck have been spotted spending time together and getting to know each other’s families, almost two decades following their initial early-2000s relationship.

“The name of that album was This Is Me… Then,” Lopez said. “That was a moment. When you go back and hear that, you hear the purity and the love there. And I think that’s why people went back as they saw different things happening in my life now and they go, ‘Wow, really?’ And I think it gave people hope.”

She added, “Some things do last forever,” seemingly alluding to her and Affleck’s recent reunion.
