Country star Jason Aldean took to Instagram to apologize to fans who had gathered at the Country Stampede Music Festival in Topeka, Kansas, to watch him perform but were left disappointed after organizers were forced to cancel Aldean’s set due to stormy weather.
“Always hate having to deliver these messages but sometimes Mother Nature doesn’t leave us any options,” Aldean wrote in the caption accompanying a short video.
“Sorry for having to cancel the show at Country Stampede,” he added. “We were here and ready to jam with u guys tonite. We can play in the rain, the lightning being so close is what got us. I apologize to you guys but hopefully we will see you soon.”
The event was held up for several hours as the organizers waited in the hopes that the weather would improve, but they were eventually forced to announce an early close to the show.
