Hindsight is 20/20.
Joe Giudice is reflecting on the poor choices that got him sent to prison in a newly released video from Italy, where he is awaiting a decision in his deportation case.
“Life, it’s always better to look through the windshield and not through the rearview mirror, you know,” Joe, 47, said in a Bravo Digital clip. “It’s a much bigger picture when you’re looking through the windshield. But at the end of the day, people make mistakes. Nobody’s perfect.”
Joe, who appears on “Real Housewives of New Jersey” with wife Teresa Giudice, recently served a 41-month sentence for fraud. Since he came to the US as a child and never became a citizen, he was taken into ICE custody to be deported after his release.
Earlier this month, a judge approved his request to fly back to his native Italy until there is a final ruling in his deportation case.
“I’ve learned a valuable lesson from all this, and I know my family is the most important thing to me,” Joe, who shares daughters Gia, 18, Milania, 14, Gabriella, 15, and Audriana, 10 with Teresa, continued in his video, released Sunday. “But it’s better that I’m out here than in there. I just want to let you know that I love you, and I’m always here for you. You know that.”
On Monday, Teresa revealed that she and Joe will sit down with Andy Cohen to discuss “everything that has been happening with us and our family the past few months.”
In the meantime, Joe has shown off his slimmer physique and martial arts moves on social media. An insider told Page Six he wants to compete as an MMA fighter.
“The Real Housewives of New Jersey Special Event: Joe and Teresa Unlocked” interview is scheduled to air this Sunday on Bravo.
