Karen Hauer took to social media today with some exciting news for Strictly Come Dancing fans. The 38-year-old dancer has been named as one of the professionals in the 2021 line-up.
Karen will be back for her 10th series when the BBC show returns to screens in the Autumn.
The announcement makes her the longest-serving female professional dancer in the series.
Of course, Strictly legend Anton Du Beke holds the overall title, having been a part of the cast since the very first series back in 2004.
Karen took to social media this morning to share her delight at the news.
“I am absolutely bursting with pride and happiness that I can now announce I am confirmed for my TENTH series of @bbcstrictly,” she wrote on Instagram today.
“I don’t talk too much on here like this but I’m beyond overwhelmed to say that I’m now officially the longest running female pro on the best show on the planet.”
“I have adored every celebrity partner I’ve worked with.
“We’ve laughed, we’ve worked our butts off, we’ve danced for the nation and we’ve had fun every step of the way,” she added in view of her 270,000 followers.
“Thank you to every single Strictly Come Dancing supporter for the love you pour into this show year on year.
“We do this for you. #bbcstrictly #strictly #strictlycomedancing,” she signed off.
Over the years Karen has enjoyed partnerships with a host of famous faces including Jeremy Vine, Mark Wright and Chris Ramsey.
Last year, she made it all the way to the final with Jamie Laing.
