Kelly Clarkson Performs Cover Of TLC’s ‘Diggin’ On You’

Kelly Clarkson performed a cover of TLC‘s “Diggin’ On You” during the Monday, March 29, “Kellyoke” segment on her talk show “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”

Clarkson was accompanied by her band Y’all as she took to a yellow and purple lit stage to perform her rendition of the song.

“I was like peace in a groove/ On a Sunday afternoon/ You were there, so was I/ In the park, 4th of July,” she sings. “I was chillin’ with my Kool-Aid/ When Miss Chilli came to relay/ That you had a thing for me/ Finest thing you’d ever seen.”

“Diggin’ on You” was released as the fourth and final single of the R&B girl group’s second studio album CrazySexyCool on October 31, 1995. The song was written and produced by Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. “Diggin’ on You” peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.
