Kerry Washington has reportedly joined the star-studded cast of the upcoming movie musical The Prom, which will be released by Netflix.
The Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated actress is joining a cast that includes Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, James Corden, Keegan-Michael Key, Andrew Rannells, and Awkwafina.
Ariana Grande was rumored to have been cast in the movie, though some reports have said she had to drop out because of scheduling conflicts with her tour.
There’s no word yet on who Kerry will be playing in the movie. Deadline first reported the news.
The Prom is based on the Broadway musical of the same name.
