Kim Kardashian catches tarantula in box months after they were ‘mating’ in her California home

It is well documented on her reality show that Kim Kardashian has an intense fear of spiders. Therefore it must have been horrific for the star when, on Tuesday 29 October, she had to trap a huge tarantula in a clear plastic box inside her Californian home.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star captioned the skin-crawling clip: “Soooo this happened today.” The video shows the world famous star lifting the lid of the tupperware that is filled with leaves, and she says: “You know, I can't believe we saw this today.”

Meanwhile an unidentified child, that could possibly be her sister Courtney’s son Reign Disick leans in to kiss the container. The he shouts: “And I love you!” This sparks a scream from Kim and causes her to drop the lid of the box before the brief film is cut.

However this is not the first close encounter of the eight-legged intruders that the mother of four has experienced.

Back in August, the reality star revealed that tarantulas were ’mating' in the home she lives in with her rapper husband Kanye West.

The aspiring lawyer posted to her Instagram a clip of one of the hairy arachnids scuttling around her garage and she captioned it: “So there were 3 tarantulas last night. It's mating season apparently.”

She then added: “I won't be able to sleep tonight knowing this was in my garage.”

But it seems the Kardashians are cursed in the spider department considering only 18 months prior her sister Kourtney, 40, unwittingly discovered an infestation in her garden.

The star was outside sunbathing with a friend when they spotted two tarantulas crawling across the lawn.

She quickly rang pest control only to be informed that it was mating season for the spiders and getting rid of them may prove to be very difficult.

“Oh my god. Oh my god,” Kourtney screamed as they saw the first tarantula. “I called pest control, they came, they sprayed two times.”

Kim sister then frantically dialled the number for the exterminator, later saying: “I just don't even know what to do," she said to the audience in a confession.

“I swear we're outside like 50 percent of the time and I've already had the exterminator come out and spray. I just won't be able to sleep at night. I will not feel comfortable until these tarantulas are fully gone.”
