Lana Del Rey Releases Long-Delayed Poetry Audiobook

Lana Del Rey‘s long-delayed spoken word poetry album, Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass, has been released as an audiobook.

Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass is a collection of spoken word poetry, which was originally set to release on January 4. The 14-track, 33-minute audiobook will see Del Rey’s poetry set to music by Jack Antonoff.

Antonoff and Del Rey previously teamed up on her sixth studio album, Norman F**king Rockwell!

The songstress had announced the project in December 2019 and said that she would contribute half of the proceeds to Native American organizations.

Del Rey also plans to release the poems as a hardback book later this year. Hardcover and ebook editions will include over 30 original Del Rey poems and will drop on September 29 via Simon & Schuster, while CDs, vinyl, and picture discs will release on October 2.

Meanwhile, on September 5, Del Rey is set to release Chemtrails over the Country Club, her follow-up to 2019’s Norman F**king Rockwell!
