Little Mix fans are still in shock after Perrie Edwards' baby announcement yesterday.
But eagle-eyed fans noticed that Perrie's mum revealed a major clue that her 27-year-old daughter was expecting a baby last week.
Deborah Edwards took to Twitter to congratulate Perrie's bandmate, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 29, who also announced she is pregnant with her first child.
But Debbie's message contained an interesting choice of words.
She wrote: "Massive congratulations to Leigh-Anne and Andre… babies on tour xx can't wait xx."
Fans immediately jumped on her use of the word 'babies' instead of 'baby'.
Posting a screengrab of the tweet on Reddit, one fan wrote: "'Babies on tour' Perhaps more than one baby is on the way?"
Although one suggested: "Maybe she means the girls are like her babies, and now Leigh is having a baby too."
Perrie shared two images on Monday, one of her growing baby bump and a second with boyfriend and Premier League footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
"So happy to be on this wild journey with my soulmate," Perrie wrote.
"Me + Him = You. We can't wait to meet you baby Ox!"
Alex also shared the snaps, writing: "Anyone got any advice on how to change nappies? So grateful and excited to become a dad bring on the sleepless nights."
Posting an update yesterday, Deborah added: "Massive congratulations to my beautiful daughter Perrie and Alexander.. I am bursting with pride… and cannot wait to see my grandchild..as I said… Babies on tour lol."
One fan responded: "I knew it! You got me making theories about the plural in 'babies on tour' and I started to really think that Pez was pregnant too, OMG."
While another said: "I can't believe you gave it away and we didn't realise."
But while the congratulations are flooding in, former bandmate Jesy Nelson has only publicly responded to one of the girls’ news.
Within minutes of Perrie's announcement, Jesy, who left the band in December, had liked her post. She hasn't acknowledged Leigh-Anne's.
Third bandmate Jade Thirwall has been gushing with joy at both of the girls’ news.
Under Leigh-Anne’s announcement she wrote "love you so much", and "look at this family".
Under Perrie’s baby bump photos, Jade wrote: "Beaming for you both I’m the luckiest auntie in the world! Love youuuuu x."
When Jesy left the band in December 2020 she said she had been suffering for a while.
“The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health,” she wrote on Instagram.
Since she left, Jesy isn’t believed to be speaking much to her former bandmates.
A source told The Sun: "Communication between them has basically broken down now. There are formalities at times via third parties, but they’re not meeting up for cosy drinks."
