Lorraine Kelly, 62, has taken to Twitter to send her regrets and well wishes to actor Hugh Jackman. The Wolverine star has tweeted about how he tested positive for the coronavirus.

The presenter responded to a tweet in which Hugh filmed himself addressing fans.

In full view of his 14.6 million Twitter followers, Hugh talked directly to fans.

He said that he wanted fans to “hear it from (him)” that he had tested positive for the virus.

The star captioned the video, explaining how he had mild symptoms.

“Just wanted you to hear it from me. I tested positive for covid.

“Mild symptoms and as soon as I’m cleared …

“Looking forward to getting back to The Winter Garden!”

He also reassured fans in the video that he “had a runny nose” but is otherwise okay.

He then urged fans to “be healthy” and “be kind.”

Followers were quick to jump into the comments to chime in on Hugh’s health update.

@TEA31165076 said: “Sorry to hear that . regret to know that vaccination hasn’t helped. (sic)

“But only hope it will be easier to go through the illness. get healthy soon!”

Other fans were slightly more sarcastic.

@Harryconnic1 said: “Your filming yourself alone with a mask on. (sic)

“Suppose you don’t want to reinfect yourself.”

Lorraine then responded the tweet in a quote tweet of her own.

She said: “Get well soon @RealHughJackman.”

Fans were equally as positive about The Greatest Showman actor on Lorraine’s thread as they were on Hugh’s.

@MatthewWillBye wrote: “Yes get well soon you are The Greatest Showman! “#HughJackman #TheGreatestShowman #lorraine”

But again, whenever Covid is brought up, some fans take the snarky route.

@Theresonly110 said: “He said mild symptoms… not poorly!”
