Louise Redknapp celebrates Christmas Day with her family
Louise Redknapp, 46, has admitted that her youngest son Beau, 12, got carried away recently when he helped his eldest brother Charley, 16, improve her video gaming skills. The former Eternal singer, who shares her two children with her ex-husband Jamie Redknapp, 47, told Beau he was “pushing his luck” when he asked for their family home to be updated to include a gaming room.
It comes after Louise took part in the Cadbury Heroes League’s new gaming tournament alongside Charley last month.
While discussing her training process in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, she said: “Charley has been helping me, but his schooling days are really long and he doesn’t always come home.
“So Charley leaves the younger one instructions on what I’ve got to get better at as well, so between the two of them they’re both taking it upon themselves to make sure I get better at playing Street Fighter.
“I think I’m getting better though, I don’t know, I think I could have a future in it!”

In spite of her impressive progress with the game, Louise revealed Beau got too over-excited about their new family activity.
She explained: “It did get to the stage with my youngest when he said, ‘Mum we need to get a gaming chair and colourful lights and a little gaming room’.
“And I was like, ‘Okay, now you’re pushing your luck!’ We’re not going that far!”
Opening up about why she decided to get involved in the challenge, Louise said: “I don’t really do much with my children, my kids don’t massively go on my social, just because I’m their mum and they’re boys and I don’t do loads of sport or anything and I just thought, we all like eating Cadbury’s – who doesn’t?
“And then I’ve got a teenager and my younger one is going to be 12 tomorrow and gaming is something that they do.
“I do my very best to limit it and we have rules and regulations and be responsible, but when they are playing games, I’m very cut off from them.”
She recalled: “I said, ‘Look, while we’re doing this, we’ll put the gaming and the PlayStation in the main lounge and we’ll do this together. We’re going to practice together, spend the hours that you’re allowed to spend on your gaming – I’m afraid you’re going to have to practice with me’.
“They were both really up for it actually, they were like, ‘Yeah great idea, we’re up for doing this’.

“So we’ve had some fun, lots of throwing of controllers when I don’t listen or work out how to do the turn, flip, in the air kick, it is quite complicated, but they’re so good at it, they’re so naturally good at it!”
Elsewhere, Louise, who separated from her husband Jamie three years ago after 19 years of marriage, shared an Instagram post which showed her sons opening their Christmas presents alongside her ex.
Despite their split, Louise and Jamie have stayed on good terms in order to co-parent their children.
The star filmed her kids opening presents in front of a Christmas tree in a room filled with discarded wrapping paper.
Watching the pair at work, the former professional footballer could be seen sitting in an armchair overseeing the unwrapping.
“Christmas madness. Merry Christmas Everyone,” Louise captioned her post, which she shared with her 716,000 followers.
Not long after, Jamie posted a video on his own account which showed the boys presumably trying out their new gifts.
Charley could be seen on a scooter, while Beau rode a bike.
“Happy Christmas,” he wrote beside the footage.
