Martine McCutcheon has said that the menopause made her feel like she was "losing her mind" as she opened up about her experiences.
The 46 year old actress took to social media to talk about going through the perimenopause, telling fans that she started Hormone Replacement Therapy to help tackle her symptoms, which she described as a "game-changer".
The Love Actually and EastEnders star has also been sharing her weight loss journey over the past year, and has praised celeb pal Davina McCall for giving her advice about how to deal with the changes, as well as thanking her menopause doctor Naomi Potter.
Posting to her Instagram story, Martine said: "It’s been quite a game changer for me, there’s still some adjustments and tweaks to make.
"I've been really so lucky to be guided by the force of nature that is Davina and Naomi Potter is a godsend to women going through this time.
"When we are all losing our minds this lady is calm, collected and so wise about the whole situation."
As well as speaking about her health recently, the star also revealed she will be making a return to acting – starring alongside veteran comedian John Cleese.
She said: "I’m doing a movie, playing the very small part of an ex-ballerina, with John Cleese in Budapest in Hungary this year. I am starting to look at other things too."
Martine's big break was when she played Tiffany Mitchell in EastEnders from 1995 to 1998.
But then she landed her role as a Downing Street PA in Love Actually alongside Hugh Grant, which made her a household name.
Following this role, she starred in a few TV shows, such as Spooks and Agatha Christie's Marple, and some TV and short films – then starring alongside Patrick Swayze in Jump! in 2008.
After that, Martine took a break from the acting world after deciding she wanted to be a mum, tying the knot with her husband Jack in 2012 – with the couple having son Rafferty, seven, together.
Since then, she appeared in an episode of Midsomer Murders and featured as a panellist on Loose Women between 2016-2017, before starring on The Masked Singer UK in 2021.
There are a number of big things happening for Martine at the moment, with the actress telling her fans about a big house move she's made earlier this week.
In a number of snaps posted to social media, she showed off her new garden and her big collection of flowers and plants.
