When detailing the alleged 2020 incident, the tells Houston female rapper ‘CBS Mornings’ co-host Gayle King that she was ‘really scared’ when the Canadian MC pulled the trigger.
AceShowbiz –Megan Thee Stallion couldn’t help but get emotional when recalling the alleged shooting involving Tory Lanez. When sharing her side of the story in her first TV interview, the “WAP” hitmaker broke down in tears.
The Houston native spoke candidly about the matter when sitting down with “CBS Mornings” co-host Gayle King. “It was an argument because I was ready to go and everybody else wasn’t ready to go. But that’s, like, normal friend stuff,” she first detailed. “It shouldn’t have got this crazy.”
“So I get out of the car and it’s like everything happens so fast. And all I hear is this man screaming. And he said, ‘Dance, b***h.’ And he started shooting,” the Grammy-winning femcee continued. “And I’m just like, ‘Oh, my God.’ Like, he shot a couple of times. And I was so scared.”
Noting that Tory was “standing up and shooting over the window, shooting,” Megan added, “I didn’t want to move, I didn’t want to move too quick because if I take the wrong step I don’t know if he would shoot something that’s super important or he could shoot me and kill me.” The female rapper went on to stress that she “was really scared” at that time “because [she] have never been shot at before.”
Megan previously claimed Tory shot her in the leg after a party at Kylie Jenner‘s house in July 2020. In February, DJ Akademiks revealed that the Canadian emcee’s DNA hadn’t been found on the gun he allegedly used to shoot Megan. However, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office stated that there’s evidence that “substantially supports the charges and allegations” against him.
“Although we are legally prohibited from commenting on the evidence and will continue to abide by that obligation, our office is under an ethical duty to only proceed on charges which we believe can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt and which have already been upheld by a judge after presentation of evidence at the preliminary hearing,” the D.A. said in a statement to HipHopDX. “We believe the evidence substantially supports the charges and allegations and that evidence will be borne out in court.”
