Naomi Campbell, 51, shares first look at baby daughter and says she’s ‘not adopted’

Naomi Campbell has shared the first look at her baby daughter while declaring that she was not adopted.

The 51 year old supermodel welcomed her little bundle of joy in May of last year and has not shown her face to the public until now.

In a new cover interview for British Vogue, the catwalk queen stuns in a series of stylish snaps and in one image, the doting mother can be sweetly cradling her adorable daughter.

"She wasn't adopted – she's my child," Streatham-born Naomi told the fashion bible, adding that only a few people knew she was planning for motherhood.

"I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her. But she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. It's the best thing I've ever done," she said.

Naomi also reflected on her impressive modelling career, which shows no signs of ending as she is set to walk in shows such as Versace, Balmain and Alexander McQueen this fashion season.

Despite the experience of walking in shows alongside 18 year olds being "nerve-racking", Naomi noted that catwalk modelling isn't as fun as it once used to be.

"It's great to be with these young 'uns at my age, but I have to say, at one of the shows, I was like, 'Come on, girls! Pick up your feet! Why are you walking so slow?" she said.

"I definitely feel like my time was more joyful. We smiled! We got to show off our personalities."

Naomi has since become an icon and mother figure for the youngster generation of black models – something she didn't have as an up and coming model.

"There were lots of times when I would walk in the fashion shows, but I was never picked for the ad campaigns, and it would hurt – it really hurt.

"I would have to suck it up and keep moving. Of course, it would have been great to have had that support around me back then, but I'm proud to see it happen now. I'm proud to see the diversity now," Naomi said.

Naomi announced the arrival of her daughter in May last year via Instagram, where she posted a snap of the newborn's tiny feet.

She captioned the picture: "A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you, my angel. There is no greater love."
