Olivia Jade Giannulli reportedly went against the desperate pleas of her lawyers when she posted a photo to Instagram of herself flipping off the press amid coverage of her parents’ alleged involvement in the nationwide college admissions bribery scandal.
“Her lawyers begged her not to post anything … because prosecutors are going to question her about it and show everything to the jury,” one insider told Us Weekly.
Last month, the 19-year-old daughter of “Full House” actress Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli posted the defiant snap of herself sticking up two middle fingers while wearing a Snoop Dogg shirt.
The teen social-media influencer tagged media outlets with the caption: “#close #source #says.”
Olivia Jade went mostly dark on social media following her parents’ arrest in March for allegedly handing over $500,000 in bribes to a crooked college prep adviser to get Olivia Jade and her 20-year-old sister Bella into the University of Southern California.
The insider told Us Weekly that Loughlin’s relationship with her daughters remains on the rocks.
“[T]hings aren’t fully healed between them,” the source said.
Olivia Jade, a beauty blogger, fears she won’t be able to rebuild her brand as a result of the scandal and it’s left the teen “resentful,” the source told Us Weekly.
The source also noted that Olivia Jade has become a victim of cyber-bullying, which is “devastating for Lori.”
In April, Loughlin and her husband pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
They face up to 40 years behind bars, if convicted.
