Phoebe Bridgers has shared a new cover of Tom Waits‘ “Day After Tomorrow,” to benefit the Local Integration & Family Empowerment Division of the International Institute of Los Angeles.
The Local Integration & Family Empowerment Division supports immigrants, refugees, and low-income workers in Los Angeles by providing skills, abilities, and resources they need to become self-sufficient and start their new lives in the city.
The cover was produced by Tony Berg, Ethan Gruska and Bridgers. The cover also features Mumford & Sons frontman Marcus Mumford.
In October, Bridgers had shared a cover of Bo Burnham‘s “That Funny Feeling” exclusively via her Bandcamp, with proceeds from the track to benefit Texas Abortion Funds.
The cover bowed at No. 2 on Billboard‘s Rock & Alternative Digital Song Sales and Alternative Digital Song Sales charts. The track also opened at No. 4 on the all-genre Digital Song Sales survey, with 10,800 downloads sold in the week ending October 7, according to MRC Data.
