Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash are “over the moon” to be having a baby girl and feel as though the new addition will “complete” their family once the new baby is born, a source has told OK!
Stacey, 31, announced last week that she and fiancé Joe are expecting a baby girl later this year. The baby will be the TV personality's first daughter as she's also mum to sons Zachary, 13, with ex Dean Cox, Leighton, nine, with former partner Aaron Barham, and two year old Rex, who she shares with Joe, 39. Joe is also dad to son Harry, 14, from a past relationship.
Now, a source tells OK! the couple feel as though their family will be complete. The explained: “They’re very happy. Stacey and Joe feel like it will be their family complete. It will probably be it for them now.”
The couple were emotional when they found of the gender of the baby, OK!’s source explains. “They’re over the moon to be having a little girl,” the source adds: “Joe was in tears. Stacey says she just wants to make sure the baby is good and healthy, but to have a little girl is just the icing on the cake. They were so thrilled. They were chuffed to bits.”
OK! has reached out to representatives for Stacey and Joe for comment.
Stacey shared the gender of her baby with her 4.5 million Instagram followers last week. The star shared a gorgeous photo of herself wearing a pink dress as she leaned into Joe while surrounded by pink balloons. A second snap showed her sons holding up a sign that read: "What on earth is a sister? Baby girl coming soon".
In the caption, she told her fans: "Baby Girl [pink heart emojis] I can not believe I’m writing this…" with a crying emoji.
"We are growing a little baby girl. To our darling boys, you are the best big brothers anyone could wish for and you’re little sister is the luckiest girl in the world to have you all by her side. I honestly have no words… Mummy Daddy and ALL of your big brothers can not wait to meet you little one…
"We love you so so much already darling girl." with a pink heart emoji and a crying emoji.
Before confirming the gender, Stacey presented her eldest child with a bear and wrote: "I just have to say… to my darling boys… You are the most incredible brothers anyone could wish for…"
Stacey went on: "As your mummy nothing makes me more proud than watching you grow with the love and kindness you have for one another. No matter what you'll always have that and I couldn't wish for anything else in life…"
