Taylor Swift has been named the winner of Billboard‘s first-ever Woman of the Decade Award.
Swift will be honored at Billboard‘s 2019 Women in Music event to be held at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on December 12.
Billboard said Swift is “one of the most accomplished musical artists of all time over the course of the 2010s.”
The entertainment magazine said the singer-songwriter is also being honored for her commitment to protecting creative rights, music education, literacy programs, cancer research, disaster relief and the Time’s Up initiative.
One of the most successful artists in music history, Swift has landed five No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 this decade. She has won two Billboard Woman of the Year Awards.
