Lucifer spoilers follow.
Lucifer goes back to the future in the first look at Netflix’s sixth season.
The Lord of Darkness himself, Tom Ellis, has unveiled a new behind-the-scenes look at the final season of the Worlds of DC series in an Instagram post.
Sharing a photo of Lucifer Morningstar backing up to a DeLorean (aka the time-travelling car from Back to the Future), Ellis wrote on Instagram: “Good things are coming.”

Showrunner Joe Henderson had been hinting at even more big announcements to come about the sixth season at Lucifer‘s [email protected] panel on Saturday (July 24).
Unfortunately, when a fan guessed Netflix might just announce a surprise seventh season renewal during the panel, Henderson admitted: “I can confirm that ain’t happening :)”
Writer Chris Rafferty has previously promised that the staff have been working double-time to make sure Lucifer does end in a way that will satisfy fans.
“My hope for our audience is that they too have appreciated the journey,” he told Script magazine. “That they’ve enjoyed all the emotions, good and bad, that we’ve guided them through. And that they’ve also found a sense of family, like I have.”

News on when the final episodes will drop on Netflix may well be imminent, as DB Woodside started hinting about revealing the date on his social media earlier in the month.
The most recent season left off on a climax with Lucifer taking over as the new God in heaven after sacrificing his life for Chloe Decker (Lauren German). We imagine the idea of Lucifer as God will raise some eyebrows in season 6?
Lucifer seasons 4 and 5 are available to watch now on Netflix. Catch up on seasons 1-3 via Amazon Prime Video.
