Netflix viewers have taken to social media in droves due to the terrifying Filipino horror film Eerie.

One fan on Twitter said: "If you want to watch a really good Horror movie which isn't only about jump scares but had a strong storyline. I heavily suggest "Eerie" on Netflix. It's a movie from the Philippines."

Another wrote: "scary movies with subtitles are the worst cus i actually have to pay attention to the screen"

Meanwhile, on Netflix viewer wrote: "I watched the Eerie the other night on netflix! Filipino horror movie done right! Watch it guys!"

One brave soul said: "Ok…I'm going to attempt to watch Eerie on @netflix tonight…alone….with lights off….who thinks I will last the whole movie and who thinks I'll turn it off after 30 mins?"

Finally, one viewer wrote: "Watching #Eerie on Netflix. Definitely not going to be able to sleep after watching it. #scary"
