Fans are finally getting a first glimpse at Awkwafina's role in Disney's upcoming Raya and the Last Dragon.
The animated film follows Kelly Marie Tran's Raya as she goes on a quest to find the mystical last dragon in order to bring peace to her people under threat from an evil force.
But when Raya finally finds the Last Dragon, voiced by Awkwafina, she might not get the help she needs.
"I'm gonna be real with you," the Last Dragon tells Raya. "I'm not, like, the 'best' dragon. Have you ever done a group project with that one kid who didn't pitch in as much but still ended up with the same grade?"
Raya and the Last Dragon is set to premiere in select theaters and on Disney+'s Premiere Access program. Last year's live-action Mulan skipped theaters for the same service. The Disney+ move comes as movie theaters remain largely closed due to the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis.
Disney+ subscribers will be subject to a nearly $30 rental fee to see the upcoming film, according to Variety.
Disney has already premiered Artemis Fowl on the streaming platform and recently released its Pixar animated film Soul on Disney+ on Christmas Day at no additional cost.
Raya and the Last Dragon will premiere on March 5.
