After Life’s Ashley Jensen looked so different 22 years ago on Eastenders debut

Pictures reveal how former EastEnders actress Ashley Jensen's appearance has dramatically changed since her role on the hit BBC soap over two decades ago.

The Scottish star, 52, achieved fame when she co-starred with Ricky Gervais, as Maggie in BBC hit Extras.

She also became known internationally when she joined the cast of the TV series Ugly Betty from 2006-2008.

But before all that she portrayed Fiona Morris in EastEnders.

During her time on Albert Square Ashley played the role of Fiona who is the wife of Rod Morris.

She first appears when she and Rod come to the di Marco's for dinner.

But Rod's pupil, Nicky di Marco, has a crush on him.

She is seen again when Nicky's brother visits the Morrises' home and attacks Rod, whom Nicky has accused of assaulting her.

Fiona tries to fend Gianni off but is shoved to the floor.

Her latest performance is in After Life, which follows the story of Tony Johnson, played by Ricky Gervais, who is grieving following the death of his wife Lisa.

Ashley portrays Emma, a carer who looks after Tony’s father in a nursing home.
