Amanda Holden breaks leg in two places during family holiday

Britain's Got Talent judge, Amanda tripped while attempting the Total Wipeout style assault course during her half-term break.

Amanda, 48, required emergency surgery to have a metal plate fitted in her leg.

TV favourite Amanda was playing in the Mediterranean with her seven-year-old daughter, Hollie when she fell and snapped her fibula bone in two places.

The mum-of-two was rescued by music producer husband, Chris Hughes and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital.

Despite her injuries, she has told bosses at Global that she will be back at work on Heart FM on Monday, co-hosting the breakfast show along with her crutches.

A source told The Sun: "Amanda was enjoying some well-earned family time and was throwing herself into playing with her daughters at the seaside.

"She lost her footing while climbing on an inflatable assault course with her daughter and fell into the sea."

They went on to add: "She received urgent medical attention at a hospital and now just wants to be at home and in her own bed where she can rest up before returning to work next week."

The BGT judge told The Sun: "Sadly, this is true.

"I suffered a nasty fall while climbing with the family during our half-term holiday. I had an operation on Friday and a metal plate was fitted."

It's believed Amanda, who's allegedly worth a whopping £6 million was due to be launching a singing career ahead of the return of Britain's Got Talent next year.

She previously signed a £3 million deal with Global's Heart radio, making her the best-paid female showbiz presenter, pocketing more than BBC Radio 2's Zoe Ball.
