Former BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker has confessed he was "no memory" of being knocked over by a car while out on a bike ride.
The 45-year-old shared bloody images of his face after the accident, where he was seen to by the NHS ambulance services. Although he seemed in good spirits, he had clearly suffered a blow.
"Just got home from hospital. Battered and bruised but – amazingly – nothing broken," he tweeted. "Very thankful to still be here. I have no memory of anything and just remember coming round on the tarmac with paramedics & police around me."

"Thanks for all your kindness. Jamie & Shaun were so great in the ambulance – not sure I was making much sense," Dan continued. "Thanks to Conor the copper, Charlotte in x-ray & Hannah (below) for being so considerate & brilliant in such a busy A & E."
"The helmet I was wearing saved my life today so – if you’re on a bike – get one on your head," he told fans as he shared more gruesome pictures of his injuries after the accident as well as his smashed Apple Watch.
"Smashed my watch & phone, ruined my trousers, my bike is a mess but I’m still here.
"Currently eating soup through a straw and being looked after by this gorgeous, tired nurse," Dan concluded, uploading a snap of his dog sat comfortably on his lap.
Dan recount of the incident was met by messages from fans wishing him a speedy recovery.
One wrote: "Oh Dan. Wish you well in your recovery."
"Glad you're OK Dan, thanks for sharing and wearing the helmet – rest up!" a second put.
A third commented: "Oh my, so pleased to see nothing broken but wow what a mess of your things, easily replaced tho. Wishing you a continued speedy recovery."
