Dog the Bounty Hunter hospitalised after suffering major heart problem

US reality star Dog the Bounty Hunter was hospitalised over the weekend after a terrifying heart emergency.

The 66-year-old may need surgery after the incident, according to TMZ.

According to the publication he was rushed to hospital from his Colorado home after feeling chest pain.

It's not yet clear whether Dog – real name Duane Chapman – suffered a heart attack, but it's reported doctors are trying to figure out exactly what happened.

Docs are also checking whether the TV star will need any corrective surgery.

The worrying news comes just a few months after his wife Beth Chapman died from cancer.

Beth died aged just 51 after battling throat and lung cancer, dying in June from complications of the disease.

The past few months have been seriously tough for Dog, with him understandably breaking down at Beth's memorial service.

On top of that, his shop was broken into and thieves stole some of Beth's belongings.

Then, the famous bounty hunter almost fell victim to a $430,000 scam in Dubai.

But it's not all been negatives, as his new show – Dog's Most Wanted – premiered earlier this month, though an endless promo tour surely added to the pressure.

Dog spoke out about his new show and seeing Beth on it.

He confessed he hasn't seen the final edit of it yet because it was too difficult for him to see Beth on-screen.

When Beth died, she left behind Dog and four children – Bonnie Chapman, Cecily Chapman, Garry Chapman and Dominic Davis.

Dog and Beth married in 2006, though they had an on-off relationship before they tied the knot.

They had two children together, but he adopted Cecily, though he as 12 children in total from other relationships too.
