Emmerdale Leanna star unrecognisable as she unveils hair makeover after ITV exit

Emmerdale star Mimi Slinger, who played Leanna Cavanagh in the Dales until her untimely demise back in 2021, showed off a dramatic makeover in a new video on Instagram.

Mimi, 19, struck a pose in front of a mirror with a brunette wig covering her famous blonde locks, giving her a stunning new look.

As her dark hair fell around her shoulders into curls, Mimi donned a yellow and purple jumper with a high neck and no sleeves.

Mimi showed off her natural beauty as she kept her make-up simply but elegant while smouldering at her election in the mirror.

As she captioned the snap: "playing dress up," it didn't take long for the compliments to come pouring in for the former Dales actress.

One fan said: "You’re stunning."

Another added: "You look like Keira Knightly here."

A third chipped in: "It looks good on you OMG."

A fourth agreed: "You're so gorgeous Mimi."

Mimi's character Leanna was brutally killed off by serial killer Meena Jutla last year after finding proof that she had murdered her friend Nadine.

Leanna fled her house to the viaduct to try and escape Meena, but to no avail as she was pushed off the edge by the murderer.

Sick Meena watched Leanna as she died and even stole her ring as a trophy of her death.

The killer managed to keep her evil crimes to herself for a while before eventually being discovered by her own sister.

Meena was recently sentenced to 77 years, or three life sentences, in prison as she was found guilty of killing Ben Tucker, Leanna and Andrea Tate after a dramatic court showdown.

Fans have been left convinced that Meena could end up making a return later down the line, but they'll have to wait and see if the murderer can ever find her out from behind bars.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
