Harrison Ford might have to sit out on filming the next Indiana Jones for a “four to five-week” break after sustaining a shoulder injury on set.
The 78-year-old actor was filming a fight scene for the fifth instalment of the immensely popular franchise when he was hurt.
Deadline initially reported that director James Mangold will reshuffle the filming schedule so he can continue to shoot scenes around Harrison while the actor receives the right treatment.
Now an insider has revealed that the star will require an operation on his shoulder, which could require Indiana Jones 5 filming to be stopped for more than a month.
Speaking to The Sun, the source revealed: "He was filming an action scene on a train within Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire when he felt it go.“
"He aggravated an old injury but it's bad enough for him to require surgery to put it right."
They added: “The crew have been warned that there could be a four to five-week break in filming at the very least.”
