Actors Lisa Bonet, 54, and Jason Momoa, 42, have shocked the showbiz world by announcing they are splitting up after 16 years together.
They left fans heartbroken as their seemly perfect romance came to an end.
In a joint statement, they said: "We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding ~and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring
"And so~ We share our Family news~That we are parting ways in marriage. We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy ~
"But so that~ as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty. The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other ~to be who we are learning to become…"
Following the sad news that one of Hollywood's most adorable power couples are going their separate ways, we take a look back at their romance.
Momoa always had a crush on Bonet
The couple are thought to have first clapped eyes on each other in person at a jazz bar in 2005, but Momoa knew all about his future wife by then.
The Game of Throne star admits to having had a crush on her for a lot longer. On The Late Show in 2017 he said: “Ever since I was like 8 years old and I saw her on the TV, I was like, ‘Mommy, I want that one.’
"I was like, ‘I’m going to stalk you for the rest of my life, and I’m going to get you!’ I am a full-fledged stalker.”
He also added he didn't want to let her know this until after they had had their children together to avoid looking "creepy".
Speaking to Porter about when they met at the jazz bar, Bonet said: “In that moment, love came and it came big, and he did not run as I think a lot of men do.
“He basically picked me up and threw me over his shoulder, caveman style!”

The pair got married in 2017 despite there being rumours they had actually tied the knot 10 years earlier in 2007.
Despite waiting 12 years to make it official however, Momoa said to Entertainment Tonight: "You know what, I’ve been married to my wife for 12 years."
Instead, the wedding itself was more “just a gathering of our families and celebrating our love”.
In 2008 Bonet told People magazine that Mamoa was "the love of my life" and that he was "everything I hoped would come".
“Jason is an alpha male who stands for love and family," she gushed, adding that he "embodies a rare form of masculinity in this day and age — he’s a leader; he’s generous. Just in terms of charisma, physique, the right use of power, responsibility, work ethic, you can go down the line”.
Bonet and Momoa's children
The pair have two children together – the first, Lola Iolani, was born in 2007. Just over a year later, Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha was born.
The family have been known to share their lives together online as they get on with all kinds of activities from axe throwing to rock climbing.
Part of the family is also Lisa's first daughter Zoë Kravitz, who she shares with her first husband, rockstar Lenny Kravitz.
Bonet, Momoa and Lenny Kravitz
Despite their split in 1993, Bonet and Kravitz are still understood to be close.
Speaking in 2013 on Oprah's Master Class, Kravitz said: "Zoe’s mom and I now are best friends."
This friendship is also thought to have included Momoa. In an Instagram post, Kravitz wished him happy birthday saying: "Happy Birthday, @prideofgypsies. I’m proud to call you my brother. One love. One family".
Speaking to Men's Health in 2020 he said: “People can’t believe how tight Jason and I are, or how tight I still am with Zoë’s mom, how we all relate.
“We just do it because that’s what you do. You let love rule, right? I mean, obviously, after a breakup, it’s work—it takes some work and time, healing and reflection, et cetera. But as far as Jason and I? Literally the moment we met, we were like, ‘Oh, yeah. I love this dude.’”
