Jessie J has issued a heartfelt apology to Nicki Minaj after a public disagreement following drama surrounding their hit track Bang Bang, which also featured Ariana Grande.
Nicki Minaj set the record straight during the week, when she took to Twitter to clarify that she "did not ask to take part" in the 2014 hit song Bang Bang.
This comes after her musical collaborator Jessie J made the claim in an old interview with Glamour magazine, where Jessie said: "Nicki was played it [Bang Bang] in the studio and was like, 'I've got to jump on this.' We didn't go to her and ask; she wanted to do it."
Tweeting Jessie J on Thursday to clear things up, Nicki Minaj penned: "Babe @JessieJ I didn’t hear the song & ask 2get on it. The label asked me2get on it & paid me.
"How would I have heard the song? chiiille what am I the damn song monitor? Snoopin around for songs Chile? This was said by another artist recently as well. Yallgotta stop. LoveU"

In a long heartfelt apology, Jessie J took to Instagram to write the long caption that read: "I respect you publicly being yourself @nickiminaj • So here I am being myself."
She posted a video from 2015 of herself jokingly miming to Nicki's Bang Bang rap as she wrote, "This is a video of me back in 2015 on stage taking the piss out of myself which is basically an hour of my set. It was made into a meme about 2 weeks ago. Is that what this is really about? And where this weird energy between us began? Or maybe it was when you used me as a stair rail at the AMAs. That was also funny af.

Despite calling out Jessie for the misunderstanding, both Nicki and Jessie still appear to have a lot of love for each other – using sweet emojis in their correspondence to each other.
Fans flocked to the comments section of Jessie's post to show their support for the star and the hit song which has now reached it's seventh anniversary.
