One Direction’s Liam Payne engaged after singer pops question to Maya Henry

Liam Payne and girlfriend Maya Henry are said to be engaged.

The former One Direction singer is believed to have popped the question with a ring worth a staggering £3 million, says MailOnline.

Maya, 20, was pictured wearing the huge rock as the pair enjoyed a date night at London's swanky Novikov restaurant in Mayfair on Thursday.

The lovebirds were snapped exiting the lavish restaurant with Maya wearing a black dress, paired with a leather jacket and tiny handbag.

While the Strip That Down singer opted for a golden silky shirt, black trousers and brown Chelsea boots.

The couple's happy news comes just months after they were surrounded by reports that they had split.

However, a source close to Wolverhampton-born Liam said they were "definitely still a couple and are very happy together."

The insider went on to tell MailOnline that the pair were taking their relationship away from prying eyes of social media, adding: "Both have been taking time off social media lately and enjoying each other’s company away from the spotlight."

Maya was first snapped with Liam at a One Direction meet and greet concert when she was aged 15.

But the pair went public with their relationship in September 2019 following his split from Girls Aloud songstress, Cheryl.

He made their relationship Instagram official back, sharing a snap of himself giggling while hugging the Texan-born model.

Liam captioned his post: "Sometimes I don't recognise this happy guy… sure glad you brought him back though.

"This has been the most amazing release week to date! Massive thank you to all my team for helping setting it all up and making it run smooth.

"Then last but not least this one @maya_henry for always keeping the biggest smile on my face through all the stress and making me realise how perfect my life really is. Love you all let’s stack this sh** up."
