Star of MTV's Love School Jagnoor Aneja has died aged just 40 while travelling through Egypt.

He died of a sudden heart attack on Thursday, September 23rd while traveling.

Jagnoor's close friend Karan Singh Chhabra told India TV News that the star was "healthy and a satisfied person" at the time of his passing.

He added: "It is most painful for me to lose him like this. He was enjoying and having fun, I am really clueless how this happened."

Another friend added: "He was perfectly healthy. In fact, he was very much concerned about his health and fitness."

Mohammad Al Mahmoodi said: "I couldn't understand how this happened. It was difficult for me to accept the news.

"He was a traveler and explorer but who knew he would travel to heaven so soon. I am really missing him a lot."

Jagnoor was best known for appearing on the first season of MTV show Love School, which attempts to help Instagram stars fall in love by completing challenges.

Like in ITV's Love Island, new contestants are brought in constantly in an attempt to tempt the couples away from each other.

Jagnoor appeared as a wild card entry in the show along with Manish, and returned for season two alongside Monica – but both times was eliminated.

His last Instagram post came on September 21, as he posted a video clip outside the Pyramids of Giza. He can be seen posing with a camel before running in slow motion across the sands.

He captioned the clip: "A dream come true when I visited the great pyramids of Giza. Another place ticked off my bucket list."

Tributes have already been pouring in from fans across the world, as one replied in the comments section: "Extremely shocking… RIP brother… life is unpredictable."

Someone else echoed: "May his soul rest in peace."

"RIP MY FRIEND. Gone too soon…" another follower posted.

Jagnoor was born in Mumbai in 1981 to a Hindu family, and initially worked in Indian beauty pageants. He would coach contestants on how to walk down the runway and helped them prepare to compete.

The star's jet-setting lifestyle not only meant he was able to travel the world but also meet with plenty of celebrities along the way – and he has been photographed among the likes of Shilpa Shetty and Dia Mirza.
