Phil Collins ‘dumped via text’ by wife who told him ‘I’ve found someone else’

Phil Collins was dumped by his ex wife and told she was leaving him for someone else via a text message, it is claimed.

The former Genesis front man, 69, received the text by Orianne Cevey in July, in which she told him she had found love with another man, it is alleged.

It is also claimed on August 2, Orianne secretly married part-time guitarist Thomas Bates in Las Vegas, according to a court filing making the sensational claim in the US.

Orianne, 46, is said to have messaged she had “found someone and would like to try to see if I can be happy again” and identified the man as “Thomas”.

Phil and Orianne married in 1999, before divorcing in 2008 and later getting back together in 2015.

It is believed Orianne and Thomas are still holed up together in Phil’s £30million waterfront mansion, The Sun reports.

They are said to be refusing to move out despite written demands, it is claimed.

It is alleged that Phil wants them thrown out in a dramatic escalation of the stand-off.

He has reportedly asked a judge to grant an order demanding the 'trespassing' newlyweds to leave.

Phil's order also asks the couples “heavily armed” security guards to leave the property, it is claimed.

Last year, the singer was pictured being pushed into a Los Angeles hotel in a wheelchair, sparking concern among fans.

Collins has been plagued with health issues for a decade since injuring the vertebrae in his neck while performing in 2009.

Nerve damage two years later saw him have to give up playing the drums.

In a post on the Genesis website, Phil said previously: "Somehow, during the last Genesis tour, I dislocated some vertebrae in my upper neck and that affected my hands.

"After a successful operation on my neck, my hands still can't function normally. Maybe in a year or so it will change, but for now it is impossible for me to play drums or piano."

Daily Star Online has contacted Phil Collins' representatives for comment.
