Queen’s Brian May ‘back to an operational state’ as signs Red Special guitars – WATCH

The 72-year-old rock star suffered a minor heart attack and ripped his gluteus maximus during the lockdown. But despite his serious health issues, Brian May has shown great resilience and in his latest social media update says he’s “back to an operational state.” The Queen legend shared a couple of videos of himself signing his brand of Red Special guitars for fans.

May wrote: “Hoorah !!! Back to an operational state (kind of !) – Bri.”

While in the video, he said: “Hey, we’re open for business again!

“Back to signing, this is the signing room.

“And finally we can get these out to people, who have been waiting for these beautiful instruments, and here they are…back to the light.”

Earlier this month, May was voted the Greatest Rock Guitarist of All Time by Total Guitar magazine readers.

The 72-year-old beat the likes of Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix to No 1.

May has said he was “speechless” and “blown away” by the news.

He reflected humbly on his Instagram: “It’s a nice little game to play, and I’m very grateful for the outcome and grateful to @totalguitar.

“But the nicest thing about guitar playing is that there IS no ‘greatest’. We all bring different things to it, even when we are beginning.”
