Sharon Osbourne believes drug dealers should be beheaded.
She made the claim on American chat show, The Talk, after the US state of Oregon decriminalised the possession of Class A drugs.
But the former X Factor judge, 68, believes the law should now be changed to allow the execution of dealers.
Sharon, whose husband Ozzy battled addictions to drink and drugs for several decades, said: “If you’re a dealer, off with your head.”
But she was more sympathetic to people struggling with addiction, adding: “They should not be put in prison. They should be put in rehab for however long it takes."
She added: “You’ve got to give people a chance to get clean and sober."
Ozzy, whom Sharon married in July 1982, has endured a rather public battle with alcohol and drugs.
Although he has managed to remain clean and sober for extended periods in recent years, Ozzy has frequently commented on his former wild lifestyle, expressing bewilderment at his own survival despite 40 years of drug and alcohol abuse.

In April 2013, he revealed via Facebook that he had resumed drinking and taking drugs for the past year and a half, stating he "was in a very dark place" but said he had been sober again since early March.
He also apologised to Sharon, his family, friends, bandmates and his fans for his "insane" behaviour during that period.
Sharon's comments come after she recently revealed that she and Ozzy had been targeted by fraudsters in a credit card scam.
The outspoken star learned her credit card had been maxed out when she went to buy a birthday present for her daughter Kelly, who turned 36 last month.
