While reflecting on his astronomical career, he opened up about his bond with Leonardo DiCaprio, who shared some wisdom from his career which has spanned three decades.
The Call Me By Your Name star explained Leo told him: "No hard drugs and no superhero movies."
Last year, he shed light on the advice before revealing he wouldn't disclose the identity of the actor who gave him, at the time saying: "One of my heroes — I can't say who or he'd kick my a**, he put his arm around me the first night we met and gave me some advice."
It comes following mounting speculation that he was set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe but Timothée was keen to shut this down at the Venice Film Festival.
He told audiences: "I think it’s hard to be alive now, I think a societal collapse is in the air, that's why hopefully this movie [Bones and All] will matter."
Reflecting on his career which saw him become one of the youngest actor to be nominated for Best Actor at the 2018 Oscars Awards, he said: "I had a delusional dream in my early teenage years to have, in my late teenage years, an acting career.
"And in my late teenage years, working on Homeland and starting to do theatre in New York, I felt like I reduced my goal to something more realistic, which was to work in theatre and hopefully make enough money doing either a TV show or something I could sustain myself [with].
"And then it felt like every dream came true, exponentially. And then life is moving at six million miles per hour."
Currently, the American star has been spending a lot of time in Britain, where he is filming his next movie, Wonka, alongside the likes of Olivia Colman and Rowan Atkinson which he revealed will feature several musical numbers.
But while the internet went wild over his costume, the star explained the movie is "so sincere" and "joyous".
