Victoria Beckham feels ‘guilty as Brooklyn is dropped from £1m Superdry deal’

Victoria Beckham feels “guilty” as her son Brooklyn has been dropped by Superdry.

The 48-year-old fashion designer reportedly pushed 23-year-old Brooklyn into previously signing a £1 million deal with the clothing retailer and fashion brand.

But it’s been claimed by insiders the aspiring chef wanted to instead wait for more upmarket labels such as Gucci and now Victoria has been left feeling “guilty and frustrated”.

After only 8 months the eldest son of Victoria and David Beckham was dropped as the face of Superdry’s eco-friendly plans.

The clothing brand combines vintage American styling with Japanese-inspired graphics.

The Beckham family has previous links to the brand as in 2007 David Beckham wore a Superdry leather jacket in 2007 which resulted in over 70,000 sales of the item.

Brooklyn previously became an ambassador for the clothing giant in 2021 to promote the company’s plans to be the world’s first fully sustainable fashion brand.

But Brooklyn will not be working on the retailer’s next campaign and a spokesperson recently confirmed the brand has “decided to work with a different range of talent” going forward.

A source recently spoke to Heat magazine alleging Brooklyn previously rejected “various hoots and campaigns” with the fashion brand because it didn’t “suit his schedule".

The source added: "She pulled a lot of strings to get him his Superdry gig. It was supposed to help build his profile […] so he could start building a future for himself,”

Posh Spice has since denied securing the £1million deal for her son, shortly after he wed actress Nicola Petz, the daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz.

But now the former recording artist is reportedly feeling "upset and frustrated" with Brooklyn because “every venture he's tried has fizzled out” which includes stints in photography and trying his hand at becoming a professional chef.

It’s been reported each episode of his 2021 series Cookin’ With Brooklyn took 62 professionals to make, reportedly costing $100,000 for each instalment.
