Ben Shephard was back with a rerun of Tipping Point on Wednesday as he welcomed four more contestants to the ITV show. Eileen, Roger, Holly and Liam were hoping to win as much money as possible in a bid to make it to the final round. The players had to answer a number of questions to win turns on the Tipping Point Machine. However, just minutes into the programme, Holly got a question wrong about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby.

Ben began the round by asking: “Born in May 2019, what is the name of Prince Harry and Meghan’s first child?”

Holly prematurely buzzed in to answer the question, as she replied: “Prince George.”

Ben couldn’t believe that Holly got the question wrong as he quickly hit back: “No!”

Holly also instantly knew she got the question wrong, as she bowed her head, realising Prince George was the son of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

“It’s Archie,” a disappointed Ben continued. “Not William and Kate’s first one. It was Archie.

“Sorry, Holly. You mixed up the brothers. You mixed up the babies.

“So, we have to steal a counter from you and that is going in the penalty pot.”

Things didn’t get much better for Holly after she only managed to win £100 in the first round and so, she was the first player sent home.

Liam stormed into the lead with £1,350, while Eileen and Roger were left far behind him with just £150 in their prize funds.

During the second round, things picked up for Eileen as she caught Liam up by winning £700 from the Tipping Point machine.

Poor Roger didn’t have luck on his side as he had only won £150 and so was the second player to be sent packing.

The third round saw Eileen and Liam go head-to-head in a bid to make it to the final.

Ben asked each contestant three questions in order to win counters for the machine.

However, if they didn’t know the answer to the question, Liam and Eileen had the choice to pass it to their opponent in the hopes they got it wrong.

Despite the questions being tricky, Liam managed to make it to the final after winning £2,600.

Before the final round began, Liam explained to the ITV host that if he won £10,000, he wanted to treat his girlfriend to a holiday in America.

Liam’s luck also appeared to run out as he failed to knock the jackpot counter down.

The player also struggled to answer the majority of quick-fire questions correctly.

Ben went on to as whether Liam wanted to risk the money, he had won for a chance to win the £10,000 jackpot, however, Liam refused.

“I’d like to take the money, Ben,” the contestant simply explained.

Liam ended up walking away with £3,500.

Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV.
