Bradley Walsh's Blankety Blank to return for second series on BBC One with all-star cast

BRADLEY Walsh is set to return to our screens as Blankety Blank is renewed for another season.

After a successful first series on BBC One, the re-booted show has proved popular with bosses who have decided to go ahead with season two.

Walsh, 61, will present the show yet again, and we'll see six celebs helping out the eager contestants on the show fill in the missing blanks.

S1 first aired in late 2021 and proved to be a hit, with nine regular episodes and one Christmas special averaging audiences of 5.8m.

This made it the UK's highest new launching game show of 2021.

Past episodes have seen the likes of Tess Daly, David Haye, Adil Ray, Jimmy Carr, Judi Love, Sue Perkins, Judy Murray, Craig Revel Horwood and Adjoa Andoh grace our screens, and the new series will be just as jam-packed full of celebs.

Fans will be treated to a 10-episode run, and will stay true to the original format, theme tune and prizes.

Speaking about the show's return, Bradley Walsh said: "I absolutely love recording this show.

"We have some of the funniest comedians and some of Britain’s most well-known faces join us on the panel, and they’re incredible, but for me, it’s the players that steal the show.

"I’m looking forward to getting back into the studio and having a blast filming.”

Kate Phillips, Director of Entertainment Commissioning at the BBC says: “It’s been so brilliant having Blankety Blank back on the Beeb.

"And Bradley really is the perfect host for this very funny family show, dealing with unpredictable celebrities, contestants, and prizes!”

Charlie Irwin, Director of Programmes at Thames (a Fremantle label) said: “It’s astonishing to think that Blankety Blank has been a part of our lives for 43 years and we’re honoured to be able to continue entertaining audiences – particularly those who don’t remember the original series!”

The BBC stated that celebrity guests and further broadcast details will be confirmed in due course.
