BRITNEY Spears' co-conservator has blasted her dad Jamie and accused him of using $2million of the star's money to fund his legal battle.
Jodi Montgomery slammed Jamie Spears for attempting to blame her for Britney's testimony and claimed she is the only one trying to help Britney to reach her goal of freedom.
In court documents obtained by TMZ, Montogomery notes: "It is ironic that Mr. Spears now wants the conservatorship to 'reflect her wishes' since it is no secret that Ms. Spears has wished her father out of her life for years."
According to the People, Montogomery also alleged that the 69-year-old used "more than $2 million of his daughter's money" to fund his legal defense in a bid to remain the conservator of her estate.
Montogomery says she has received "countless" messages from Britney about one thing, getting her father out of her life and the conservatorship.
In Jamie's previous filing which was also obtained by the outlet, he claimed that Montogomery or others prevented him from communicating with his daughter.
In response, Montogomery stated: "Ms Spears is the one who cut him off … That is her choice, not Ms Montgomery's."
Additionally, she said it's absurd for Britney's dad to suggest she makes decisions without him, because "everything costs money," and all the expenses go through him in his role as conservator of Britney's estate.
She added that she is actively working to address concerns made by Britney during her testimony.
Montogomery said she supports the star's decision to be free of the conservatorship but wants to ensure it will be done responsibly with the input of her doctors, implying that Jamis is not.
Lastly, she states that Britney's father has never fully relinquished control as he has remained a sole or co-conservator for the past 13-years and said he has been open to the possibility of being the last man standing to claim full control.
In legal documents obtained by People Montogomery claimed that ''no expenditures can happen without going through Mr. Spears '' and that ''not every requested expenditure has been approved, leading to some of the concerns raised by Ms. Spears on June 23, 2021.''
She added that she and Britney's dad ''should be working as a team to ensure that Ms. Spears' best interests are being met, that she is on a path to recovery and termination of her conservatorship, and that she is living her best life possible.
''Instead, Mr. Spears has decided it is time to start the finger-pointing and media attacks,'' she concluded.
It comes after it was revealed that Britney will call in but may not speak during the court hearing addressing issues regarding her conservatorship next week.
On June 23rd, Britney claimed the 13-year-conservatorship was"abusive" to her life and that she's felt "enslaved" by both her father and her other conservators.
She told the judge: “The main reason why I’m here is because I want to end the conservatorship without being evaluated."
