Celebs Go Dating's Wayne Lineker shuts bar business with £100k debt after pandemic forced clubs to close

CELEBS Go Dating star Wayne Lineker has been forced to shut his bar business with £100k debt.

Duane International Ltd has been hit hard by the pandemic, which forced clubs to close.

It's led Wayne to put his business into administration – and according to the Daily Mail it owes employees £9,530 in unpaid wages.

According to the newspaper, he has appointed a liquidator to close down the company, with the rest of his £90,000 debt owed to his business partner and the bank.

Wayne – who owned several businesses in the UK, including in Blackpool and Essex -changed his company's name from Linekers (UK) Ltd last August.

He famously runs one of Ibiza's most popular nightclubs, which is a hot spot for celebrities and influencers.

But after one of his venues – Lineker's Bar in Tenerife – suffered a coronavirus outbreak last year, he was forced to close all of his venues – with more bars in Spain and Greece.

Despite normally being abroad, the 58-year-old star swapped Ibiza for Surrey recently when he moved into Celebs Go Dating's sprawling Surrey mansion to film the latest series.

He's made it his mission to find love agains after splitting from 26-year-old model Danielle Sandhu in November 2019 after four years.

Wayne – who has been married and divorced twice – has four children, sons Duane, Sean, and Freddie and daughter Tia.

Explaining why he was going on Celebs Go Dating he explained earlier this month: "I have four children, three different mothers.

"Been married twice, divorced twice. Been engaged twice and broke up twice.

"Well my family decided for my own sanity and health that I need a girlfriend. By that they meant, 'Dad you've got to stop partying that hard.'"
